Travelers today have more choices than ever before for accommodations. Starting with basic hotels or motels and scaling up to private homes. Whatever the needs of the traveler, there is certainly a room to fit their needs.
The Doc Holliday House in the Historic District of Grapevine Texas is truly a unique and historic property. Sort of a Gem that has not been over marketed. Guests can stay in up to date accommodations while still experienced a piece of the past. Back when Doc Holliday stayed in this house, electricity most likely wasn't in the house. Oil lamps was the source of lighting and wood burning stoves were used to heat the home. In the Summer, the high windows and ceilings provided air flow to help calm the Summer heat that often reached 110 degrees for months at a time. Because the wood floors and walls had air gaps, the underside of the pier and beam house was the coolest part. The circulating air was natures air conditioning during the hot nights.
Today, the Doc Holliday House has been totally upgraded with modern conveniences while still retaining a part of the important and historic past. All the electrical outlets have been upgraded. The HVAC heats and cools like no other, Flat panel TV's are installed in Den's and Bedrooms, the underside of the home is insulated with Closed Cell Spray Foam for insulation, Granite Counter tops for not only a nice appearance but also for sanitary purposes. The list goes on and on.
Guests reviews are 5 star (Highest ratings) and the Doc Holliday House is situated just one block to Main Street Grapevine, There is plenty to do in downtown Grapevine for a long weekend and even for guests joining conferences at the Gaylord Texan.
Nightly rates start at only $199 and include taxes. A real bargain compared to any other property.
