Fabulous Experience 5 Star Feedback
O.k., there are just some reviews that stand out and we feel we need to spread the word on all our sites. This comes from a recent guest whom is in a wheelchair. We feel it's important to communicate the following information.
My husband and I decided that we wanted to stay somewhere with more individuality than a hotel, and this house was definitely the perfect pick. I can't stress enough how incredibly decorated this place is. You can tell from the pictures that it's awesome, but it's even better in person. Everything is also very functional and comfortable. As soon as we got there my husband started going through the rooms writing down different "style reminders" that we can use for our new house. We were also pleasantly surprised by all of the snacks and drinks that the house was stocked with when we arrived. As two hungry travelers, that saved us from being in nasty moods while we waited to head to our restaurant reservation. On that note, tons of restaurants and the adorable Grapevine shops are walking distance from the house. It's a great location.
We stayed at the Doc Holiday House in the middle of a trip that we were taking, and my only regret about staying there is that it made the "unique alternative hotel" that we stayed in the next 2 nights seem extremely unaccommodating. We seriously felt more welcomed and cared for at the Doc Holiday House than at the staffed hotel.
We so enjoyed our stay, and look forward to going going back for longer next time. We were in the 2 bedroom home, and it seems like it would be an extremely fun place to stay for 2 couples.
*Also, my husband is in a wheelchair and found this home to be very accessible once inside. He is able to walk a little bit so he could go up the 2 stairs to get inside. All of the rooms, hallways and doorways are very wide, and the walk in shower can easily accommodate a shower chair. He was pleasantly surprised to have enough room to get into and around in the bathroom.
